Scarborough, Bluffs ... are you sure it is not Europe?

I thought I was in Europe… But hey it is close to Toronto, Ontario.

This weekend a few friends and I had an “escape the city” adventure to the Scarborough, Bluffs.

You get the feeling of being on the beautiful European coasts, I could almost smell the espresso as you take in the blue waters and sandy beaches

So, this hike isn’t a hike at all actually… but it is definitively gorgeous.

Many blog posts that we read before going on this adventure gave you directions to start at the beach and then follow a walking trail etc. Although this walking trail is gorgeous and close to walk it isn’t the trail that gives you the spectacular views that you are seeking.

Although there is a nice hike close by, I recommend the nice hike that is outlined on Ontario Trails.

To make these directions short, when you leave the beach head to Kingston road. At Kingston Road take a right, then another right toward the cathedral bluffs. In this area you will see signs leading toward water. From here park your vehicle by the park on the street, there is a fence that says do not trespass and you know you are at the correct location. From here you can’t miss the spectacular views.

CAUTION: don’t walk close to the edge. If you have been to the beach and gazed back at the look off the sandy mountain is slowly eroding, which is very dangerous. My advice is to stand back in the tree line and take in the views.

A quick trip to Europe right here in Ontario, Canada. <3

Sincerely,

Celine
